• Do I need my practice software integrated?

  No. eRequests works as a standalone web app, so you can use it across multiple clinics and telehealth without setup or IT involvement.
• What if I work across multiple clinics?

  That's what we're built for. Use the same account with multiple provider numbers across all your clinics or telehealth setups. You're not tied to one practice's software or one provider number.
• Is eRequests suitable for telehealth?

  Yes. eRequests is designed for remote workflows, allowing you to send requests to patients and providers without printing, scanning, or clinic-specific systems.
• Will results always come back to eRequests?

  Result delivery depends on the provider. Where supported, results are returned directly to eRequests. Otherwise, results sent via secure email or eFax are captured and linked to the original request.
• What about patient privacy?

  Every doctor's patients and requests are siloed from all other users. No one else can access your requests or patient data. Sharing can be enabled under enterprise arrangements if required (for example, sharing within a clinic or company).
• Is my data secure?

  Yes. eRequests uses TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 at rest, and Australian-hosted infrastructure. Data is isolated and accessible only to authorised users.
• Can patients and pathology/radiology providers see my information?

  Patients and providers see the referral details necessary for care (your name, provider number, practice). Emails come from eRequests, so your personal email address is never shared.
• Can patients get a copy of their referral?

  Yes. Every request is directly sent to patients via secure email, whether or not you decide to send it directly to a pathology or radiology provider.
• Can eRequests be used for both pathology and radiology referrals?

  Yes. You can send both, with real-time provider search across Australia.
• Where are you based?

  Our team, product, and servers are all in Australia. This ensures compliance with Australian healthcare law and that your data never leaves Australian soil.
• What if I'm a pathology/radiology provider? Do I have to sign up?

  No. Our database already includes over 3,000 providers nationwide through a Healthdirect API. If you'd like to confirm or update your details, or explore partnership opportunities, email us at info@erequests.com.au.
• Why do I still feel uncomfortable emailing a request to a patient?

  Email always carries some risk, just like physical mail. To minimise risk:

  • Get patient consent before emailing
  • Verify the patient's email address
  • Use encrypted email (which is handled by us)

• Why don't you integrate with HealthLink, Medical Objects, Argus or ReferralNet?

  We explored integrations with all major secure messaging vendors. They do not currently support the specific workflow within eRequests. We focus on direct provider integrations (e.g., Sonic Healthcare), with secure eFax (APP-compliant) as a reliable fallback to ensure results flow back to doctors safely and without delay.
